The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that can be used as car seat carriers. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels solid in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a 6+ month color pack form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eyes, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking and is machine washable at 30deg to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for an adaptable stroller. The Evenflo Pivot can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide the best mode for their journey. The wagon can accommodate two or more children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex like other wagons we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features that we think you should not compromise on in a double stroller for example, a larger basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also pivot. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. On our walk through the stony trail, we let them swivel and it did this quite well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. But they also produce a wide range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It folds easily and can fit in the trunk of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's also a breeze to lift even with two kids and shopping bags.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be lowered to reveal UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it does have a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. It can also be linked with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be used on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. It was simple to push, and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are simple to use using a single action, colour coded and flip-flop compatible.

7. Babyzen Duet

This cheap single pushchair pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It is also lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors and both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This will help reduce sibling disputes over who gets seated with mom and dad. It comes with a huge tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has a folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents that like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with great safety features, such as the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models that is a twist.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit in, however the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tried (it's about 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as it comes, but you can use it from the beginning with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands such as BOB, Graco, combi single stroller, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The user manual is easy to read and includes multiple languages.
