Cheap Single Pushchair Single Pushchairs

If you're looking to save money and don't want a stroller that doubles up as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a chic pushchair that has a soft, elegant aesthetic. The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so light it is able to be lifted from the box using just one hand.

The hood, as an example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It's also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be transformed into a stroller after 6 months by using the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Pivot can be converted from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then decide which mode is best single travel stroller for their adventure. The wagon can accommodate two or more children from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a spacious storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it does not flex like other wagons that we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test it performed better than the majority of other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top, and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential for double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It can be used from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

It's really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite being a small single stroller pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. On our walk through the stony trail, we let them move and it did this quite well, though it did appear slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best single jogging stroller known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. But they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and fits into the car's boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we've test, but since it has rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other items.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other pram hoods that get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It is an aluminium-framed stroller that can be used from the infant's earliest days through. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world and a huge UPF50+ canopy that has an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with an integrated suspension system which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam, which reduces punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds down in four easy steps and locks automatically without hassle. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the boot of the car. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to include a car seat or carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes come with one action and are colour coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single lightweight stroller pushchair is extremely easy to use and comes with an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also light and durable. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't ideal - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned to face each other or be turned around to face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling fights over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a large bottle holder, a gear tray snack tray, and the ability to change mats. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who like to stay active. It's one of the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with great safety features, including the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It has a different type of hand brake that is different from other models that is a twist.

The seat is comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in, but the depth of the seat is less than other joggers that we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper to keep things safe. It can hold up to 10 lbs which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as it comes, but you can use it from day one by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The manual is simple to read and contains a variety of languages.
