The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of a button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The cheap robot vacuum cleaner vacuum was also among the best performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific route.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
