WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item upgrader mod has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item Level upgrade level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item upgrading, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for example.
