World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is best to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item upgrade has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item upgrader kit requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could increase in price even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item upgrader mod is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
