WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the Best item upgrader level by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the Best item upgrade however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which will show an image of the item upgrader kit at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Item upgraders can be found at many locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
