The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice claim but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best roborock vacuum performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium best robot vacuum mop vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum & mop known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
