It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few nice jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to swap out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good robot vacuum option for those who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
