The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering across the automatic floor cleaner. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best robot floor cleaner choice is probably hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, modify your home map or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also features a large LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people however it will help you keep track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does very well at collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot Vacuum cleaner ebay vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials such as cereal.
